Jersey’s Island is of only some 8000 years old, has been blessed with a multitude of geological deposits.
As we are only some 20 kilometres from the French Normandy coastline, each of our twenty-for, (24) beaches, display evidence of activity of geology covering 600 million.
Our colourful geology underlying stone mass is made up of several types, ranging from 600 million year old Shale on the Western coastline to the more recent 20 million years younger layer of Conglomerate – Pudding stone.
